Design Driven Innovation 2014

The 2014 International Conference on Design Driven Innovation (DDI2014) brought together internationally recognized innovators, designers, and creative thinkers

Featuring a wide range of speakers, including Nicholas Negroponte, co-founder and Director of the MIT Media Lab and founder and chairman of One Laptop Per Child, and Gianfranco Zaccai, Founder and President of Design Continuum, DDI2014 focused on design methods and projects that drive innovation.

DDI2014 began with an Innovation Design Hackathon organized by The MIT Mobile Experience Lab and the MIT Media Lab City Science group. During the hackathon, participating teams used a wide range of sensors and computing technology to create innovative projects inspired by Bill Mitchell’s notion of “the networked self in the cyborg city.”
