Google Glass

In June 2014, MIT MEL hosted a Design Driven Innovation Workshop with Google Glass, in collaboration with the US Embassy Portugal and the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia (FCT)/Universidade Nova de Lisboa. The workshop was hosted at the FCT with 20 of their graduate students of varying disciplines. In the span of two days, the students were brought through the entire design process to create innovative solutions inside the service industry utilizing Google Glass.

The students learned ethnographic research and prototyping tools such as Illustrator and AfterEffects. In parallel, they learned the basics of Google Glass development. By the end of the workshop, every student group was able to deliver a unique concept and functioning prototype.

This workshop is the second of a series of Design Driven Innovation workshops and was unique in its rapid two day design cycle.
