Collaborative Real-Time Photo-Sharing Technology

CoCam is not just a camera app, It is a self-organizing network of real-time photos.

CoCam is a self-organizing network for real-time photo collaboration. A user simply points and shoots to take a photo; CoCam then automatically joins other photographers into a network of collaborators. The discovery, grouping, and joining of related images is done in the background, automatically, while users focus on taking photos. CoCam uses local P2P middleware and a 3G negotiation service to create its networks. It also provides multiple views that add excitement to the viewing experience, such as creating the illusion of a photographer being in multiple places at the same time. In addition, images recorded are immediately distributed and replicated in multiple peers, meaning that there are copies of the images even if a camera is lost or confiscated.
