Reimagining Audience Participation at Conferences

Lectures are no longer one way streams of communication.

Conferences and lectures are often one way streams of information. This project rethinks these information streams to allow attendees of the lecture or conference to provide feedback and participate in the lecture proceedings.

By incorporating ethnographies and human device interactions, the project investigates how video communication can be reimagined to better integrate natural gestures and strategically manipulate content.

As part of a longer running project, this second cycle looked at how streaming video and other content can be manipulated to enhance and augment presentations. The outcome was a detailed information architecture for a digital presenting platform and accompanying mobile applications.
