Rethinking Real-Time Video Communication
When exploring HCI and video-communication there are some surprising findings.
This project investigates how video communication can be reimagined to better integrate natural gestures and strategically manipulate content.
Part of a long running project this first cycle focused on ad hoc exchanges between small clusters of people through video-mediated real-time communication and collaboration. Particular attention was paid to identifying expressive behaviors around video and designing a system to facilitate those behaviors.
The resulting project was a detailed systems architecture and number of proposed mobile applications that create more natural human device interactions while communicating remotely via video.
